Payment method visibility in Subotiz Payments determines which payment options appear at checkout. Visibility depends on merchant configuration, the customer's device, browser, and location, and each payment method's eligibility criteria, ensuring that only supported payment options are displayed for each transaction.
General Visibility Requirements
A payment method appears at checkout when all applicable requirements are met:
- Payment method enabled: Go to Payment > Payment methods and enable the payment method.
- Payment provider configured: Go to Payment > Payment providers and complete the required provider setup.
- Device compatibility: The customer's device and browser must support the payment method, particularly for digital wallets.
- Customer location: The customer must be located in a region supported by the payment method.
- Payment currency: The payment currency must be supported by the payment method.
- Transaction amount: The amount due at checkout must be at least USD 0.50 (or the equivalent in another currency). Individual payment methods may have additional transaction limits.
- Merchant eligibility: The merchant's registered entity and operating model must meet the payment method's requirements.
- Activation or approval: Any required activation or approval processes must be completed.

Troubleshooting Payment Method Visibility
If a payment method does not appear at checkout, follow these steps:
- Check payment method settings: Go to Payment > Payment methods and confirm that the payment method is enabled.
- Verify provider configuration: Go to Payment > Payment providers and confirm that the required provider setup is complete.
- Review visibility requirements: Check the general and payment method-specific requirements above. Confirm that the customer's device, location, payment currency, transaction amount, merchant eligibility, and approval status meet all applicable requirements.
-
Check additional cases:
- Apple Pay (Embedded Form): Confirm that the website domain has been successfully registered and that the payment provider selected during domain registration matches the provider currently configured for Apple Pay.
- BNPL: If the customer's location cannot be determined from the available billing address, IP address, or browser language, BNPL does not appear at checkout.
Note: If the amount due at checkout is below USD 0.50 (or the equivalent in another currency), a message appears indicating that no payment methods are available for the current order. Once the amount meets the minimum requirement, eligible payment methods appear based on the conditions above.
Payment method visibility in Subotiz Payments depends on merchant configuration, customer environment, and transaction eligibility. Reviewing these requirements and testing different checkout scenarios helps merchants ensure that eligible payment options are displayed correctly.
