Digital wallets (Apple Pay / Google Pay):
- Faster checkout: Reduces manual input and streamlines mobile checkout experiences.
- Environment dependent: Apple Pay requires supported Apple devices and operating systems (such as iOS 17 or later). Google Pay is supported on compatible browsers such as Chrome.
- Automatic display: Both payment methods appear automatically when device and browser requirements are met, with no additional setup required.

BNPL (Klarna / Afterpay / Affirm):
- Installment payments: Designed for higher-value purchases and flexible payment options.
- Different capabilities: Klarna supports subscriptions and cross-border transactions. Afterpay and Affirm support local one-time payments only.
- Merchant eligibility: Currently available for US-based merchants only.
- Additional approval: BNPL payment methods become available after merchant eligibility and configuration requirements are met. Klarna cross-border transactions require separate approval.

Alipay:
- China-focused payment method: Suitable for merchants serving customers in mainland China and overseas Chinese markets.
- Merchant eligibility restrictions: Availability depends on merchant entity eligibility and Alipay-supported regions. Currently supported for merchants based in the US, UK, France, Canada, and Hong Kong.
- Automatic currency conversion: Checkout continues to display the original transaction currency (for example, USD). When customers proceed with Alipay, Alipay automatically converts the payment amount into CNY. Currency conversion is handled entirely by Alipay.
- Approval required: One-time payments and subscription billing require separate approval before activation.
Configuring payment methods
Payment methods appear at checkout only after configuration is completed and applicable eligibility requirements are met.
- Set up the payment provider: Go to Settings > Payment providers and complete the Subotiz Payments configuration.
- Enable payment methods: Go to Settings > Payment methods, enable the required payment methods, and select the corresponding provider.
- Request approval (if applicable): Complete Alipay approval or submit a Klarna cross-border application. Contact your customer success manager if approval assistance is required.

Visibility conditions
All of the following conditions must be met for a payment method to appear at checkout.
- Customer device and browser compatibility (digital wallets).
- Customer location must be within the supported region.
- Transaction currency must meet method requirements.
- Merchant entity must meet eligibility requirements.
Card payments serve as the foundation for most merchants. Merchants can enable digital wallets, BNPL, or Alipay based on their target market to expand payment coverage. After configuration, validate checkout flows across different devices, regions, and currencies to confirm payment methods appear and function as expected.
