The settlement cycle in Subotiz Payments defines when processed transactions become available for payout. It clarifies how funds move through processing, pending, and final availability, giving merchants predictable timelines and a clear view of upcoming cash flow. This structure supports stable reconciliation, consistent reporting, and reliable withdrawal planning.
Standard Settlement Cycle
Subotiz Payments uses a minimum settlement cycle of T+2. Under this timeline, funds from a successful transaction generally become eligible for settlement two business days after the payment date.
The exact cycle for each merchant is determined by business model, processing history, dispute performance, and overall account risk. Your specific settlement timeline is displayed in the Pending Balance section of the Balance module.
For merchants using an external payment provider, settlement timing follows the provider’s policy.
Settlement Flow
Each processed payment moves through three stages:
- Processing: Funds are captured from the customer and confirmed by the acquiring partner.
- Pending Balance (T+X): Funds enter a pending period based on your account’s configured settlement cycle. During this stage, Subotiz finalizes processing checks, compliance reviews, and fee calculation.
- Available Balance: After the cycle completes, funds shift from pending to available, where they can be included in your next payout according to your withdrawal schedule.
Factors That Influence Your Settlement Cycle
Settlement timing may vary based on:
- Business model and industry classification
- Sales volume stability and processing history
- Dispute and chargeback ratio
- Compliance reviews or account updates
- Routing differences between payment providers
These factors help Subotiz maintain fair and consistent settlement timelines across all merchants.
Example Timeline
For an account operating on T+2:
- A payment completed on Monday → becomes available on Wednesday → can be included in the next scheduled payout once thresholds or payout rules are met.
If your account is configured with a longer settlement period, funds follow the corresponding T+X timeline.
The settlement cycle defines when processed payments transition from pending to available funds. With clear timelines and structured movement through each stage, merchants can plan payouts, maintain accurate financial records, and forecast cash flow with confidence. Your active settlement period is always visible in the Balance section of your Subotiz admin.
