The Adding and Managing Payment Methods feature in Subotiz enables merchants to bind one or more accounts for SaaS platform fees and commission charges. By adding Alipay, PayPal, or credit cards and keeping multiple methods active, merchants can ensure billing continuity, reduce the risk of failed deductions, and manage payments with greater flexibility.
Accessing Plan and Billing
- Access Plan and billing: In the Subotiz admin, go to Settings > Plan and billing. The page contains two key sections: Plan (fee overview) and Payment methods (binding and management).
-
Plan overview: The Plan section outlines SaaS platform fees and payment fee details, helping merchants understand baseline costs when selecting a billing channel:
- SaaS platform fee: 1%.
- Payment fees: Please confirm detailed transaction fees with your payment provider.
-
Payment methods: The lower section lists available payment options. Merchants can bind or unbind accounts as required. Supported options include:
- Alipay: Pay transaction fees via an Alipay account.
- PayPal: Pay transaction fees via a PayPal account.
- Credit card: Pay transaction fees via international credit cards.
The payment methods displayed reflect the options supported for your account.
Binding a Payment Method
-
Alipay:
- Connect Alipay: Select Alipay, agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click Link. Fees remain charged in U.S. dollars, while Alipay debits the equivalent in RMB at the prevailing exchange rate.
- Return and confirm: Complete authorization on the Alipay page. After approval, you are redirected back to the Subotiz admin, where the Alipay logo and account details appear in the list.
-
PayPal:
- Connect PayPal: Select PayPal, agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click Link.
- Return and confirm: Authorize the account on the PayPal page. After approval, you are redirected back to the Subotiz admin, where the PayPal logo appears in the list.
-
Credit card:
- Connect card: Select Credit card, agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click Link. Enter card number, name, expiry date, and CVV. Information is validated in real time.

- Confirm success: After validation, the Subotiz admin displays the card brand logo, card type (credit/debit), and the last four digits of the card.
Adding Multiple Payment Methods
-
Add another method: After binding the first payment method, select Add payment method again.
- Bind additional accounts: Choose and complete the binding process for another option (for example, Alipay + Credit card).

- Confirm availability: All active methods are listed in the Subotiz admin. The system will use them in case one method fails, ensuring uninterrupted billing for subscriptions and commissions.
Removing Payment Methods
To remove a card or account, see Plan and Billing|Unbinding a Payment Method.
Best Practices
- Maintain multiple active methods: Bind at least two methods to reduce risk and ensure billing continuity.
- Check supported methods in advance: Review available options in the Subotiz admin before binding.
- Verify details carefully: Double-check expiry date, CVV, and authorization to avoid binding errors.
The Adding and Managing Payment Methods feature in Subotiz provides transparency on platform fees and flexibility in payment setup. By binding Alipay, PayPal, or credit cards, merchants can ensure accurate fee deductions, uninterrupted billing, and compliance with financial requirements.
