The Package recurring pricing feature in Subotiz allows merchants to charge based on included units, bundled entitlements, or customer-initiated renewals. This pricing model is designed for usage-based subscriptions such as lessons, downloads, or digital credits, ensuring predictable billing and transparent value delivery.
Best for: lesson bundles, credit packages, or other quantity-based subscriptions.
Creating a Package Recurring Plan
- Open the pricing form: Go to Product > Product pricing, then click Create pricing.

- Select a product: Only products with Active status can be linked.
- Example: Photography 101 – Beginner Online Course

- Choose pricing type: Select Recurring > Package price.

- Confirm currency: Package pricing follows your store’s primary currency.

- Add a pricing name:
- Example: Photography 101 – 10-Lesson Package

- Define billing cycle: Package plans support Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly cycles. You can also select Customer-initiated payment, which turns off auto-renewal and requires repurchase at checkout.

- Enter package details:
- Included units: Define number of lessons, downloads, or credits.
- Price: Enter the charge for each cycle.
- Example: 10 lessons included per monthly cycle = $200.00.

- Add description and features:
- Description: Enter a short summary shown to customers at checkout and on invoices.
- Example: Monthly subscription for beginner-friendly lessons with videos and resources.
- Features: Add or adjust plan entitlements. These settings inherit from the product level but can be customized per package plan.
- Quantitative features: Enter a number (e.g., Course videos = 20, Downloadable resources = 5).
- Qualitative features: Select Included or Not included (e.g., Community access = Included, 1-on-1 coaching session = Not included).

- Save as draft: Review all details before saving. Draft plans are read-only and cannot be edited. You can review and activate them later from the dashboard.

Activating the Pricing
- Open the Product pricing dashboard: After saving, you’ll be redirected to the dashboard. Locate the pricing entry marked as Draft, then click to open its details.

- Activate the pricing: Review all fields again. Click Activate at the top right to publish the plan. The plan will now be live and usable in checkout and invoice links.
