The Redirects settings in Subotiz allow merchants to configure where customers are redirected after completing or canceling a Payment Link checkout. Merchants can set a Return URL and Cancel URL to connect the Subotiz payment flow with their own business pages and create a seamless checkout experience.
Payment Link Redirects
- Redirect URLsThe Redirects tab includes two URL fields:
- Return URL: Redirects customers after a successful payment. Merchants can use a payment success page, order confirmation page, or another post-payment destination. If left blank, Subotiz displays the default result page.
- Cancel URL: Redirects customers after they cancel a payment. Merchants can use a checkout page or another page where customers can continue the checkout process. If left blank, Subotiz displays the default result page.
- Redirect Rules
- Apply redirects to Payment Links: The Return URL and Cancel URL configured in Integration Settings apply to Payment Link checkout flows.
- Prioritize API-defined URLs: For checkout flows initiated through the API, a redirect URL included in the API request takes priority over the URL configured in Integration Settings.
- Apply settings at the account level: Each account uses one set of redirect settings.
- Example: If a Return URL is configured in Integration Settings and a different Return URL is included in the API request, customers are redirected to the URL specified in the API request after a successful payment.
Configuring Payment Link Redirects
- Open Integration Settings: Log in to the Subotiz admin and go to Developer > Integration Settings.

- Open Redirects: Click the Redirects tab.

- Set the Return URL: Enter the URL customers should be redirected to after a successful payment in the Return URL field.

- Set the Cancel URL: Enter the URL customers should be redirected to after canceling a payment in the Cancel URL field.

- Save the settings: Click Save to apply the configuration.

Best Practices
- Use HTTPS: Use HTTPS for both the Return URL and Cancel URL to ensure customers are redirected over a secure connection.
- Set clear destination pages: Direct the Return URL to a payment success page, order confirmation page, or another appropriate post-payment destination. Direct the Cancel URL to a page where customers can continue the checkout process.
- Verify URLs: Make sure each URL is complete, valid, and accessible to prevent customers from being redirected to an unavailable page.
- Test before going live: Test both successful payment and canceled payment scenarios to confirm that customers are redirected to the expected pages.
Subotiz Redirects allow merchants to manage where customers are directed after completing or canceling a Payment Link checkout. Configuring the Return URL and Cancel URL helps connect the payment flow with the merchant's business pages and provides customers with a consistent checkout experience.
